South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley welcomed a decision by the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday to grant a rare appeal in a case over deadlines for submitting petitions to amend the state Constitution.

And even though Jackley won’t be the attorney general when the hearing takes place, he did not rule out potentially arguing the case.
