North Carolina doctor gets time served, will pay $23K in restitution for making false statements
A former Indian Health Service pediatrician who worked without a license for weeks has been sentenced for failing to disclose she lost her prior job after an inappropriate doctor-patient relationship in North Carolina.
Dr. Erin Lynn Hower, 39, was sentenced last week to time served, followed by one year of probation, after pleading guilty to two counts of making false statements on her application for employment to the federal healthcare system in 2020.
