Larry Rhoden isn’t ready to move out of the Governor’s Mansion.
The South Dakota rancher-turned-governor will formally announce a candidacy in the 2026 GOP gubernatorial primary election at a campaign kickoff next week in Rapid City, ending months of uncertainty if the former lieutenant governor would seek a full term in office.
