Gov. Kristi Noem bans TikTok on state-owned devices
Governor cites Chinese data collection as security concern
South Dakota state employees are no longer able to use a popular social media app amid growing national security concerns.

The move is in response to revelations that data collected on TikTok users is being gathered on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), according to a news release issued by the governor’s office Tuesday.
