A former state employee who forged health inspection reports escaped prison, receiving five years of probation and $2,000 in fines, Attorney General Marty Jackley’s office announced Wednesday.

Renee Strong was sentenced to two years in prison on each count, but the judge in the cases suspended the sentences on condition that she serve probation. She earlier pled guilty to four forgery-related charges in Hughes County.
