A former on-air reporter for Midco Sports is suing the company, alleging she was under-paid and discriminated against by a male culture that demeaned women.
Midco hired Elaina Lanson in 2018. Lanson, a former college swimmer, covered sports for the company, including college sports at the University of South Dakota and South Dakota State University.
But her time at Midco, she alleges, was one of neglect and discrimination. A photo of company staff that was included in her complaint shows Lanson as the lone female standing amid more than two-dozen males.
