A former cabinet member under the Noem gubernatorial administration will be the next president of South Dakota’s public university network.

Jeff Partridge will head the South Dakota Board of Regents after being elected Thursday morning by his fellow regents during a meeting in Madison. He will succeed outgoing President Tim Rave, who has held the position since 2023.
