Feds accuse trucking company of firing driver over disability
EEOC alleges company violated ADA with its handling of worker
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed suit against a trucking company that operates in the Dakotas, alleging the company fired an employee because of his disability.
The EEOC lawsuit says the commission attempted to negotiate a resolution with Mail Hauler Trucking LLC on behalf of the employee, who is identified in the complaint as “Aggrieved Individual.” However, a resolution satisfactory to the government was not reached, prompting the federal lawsuit.
