Family, tribal leaders honor namesake of Sioux Falls' newest elementary school
Marcella LeBeau's legacy enshrined with naming of new education campus

Family of the late Marcella LeBeau joined school and city officials this month to mark the opening of the Sioux Falls School District's newest elementary school that is named in her honor.
Her grandson, Ryman LeBeau, heaped praise on the 200 school officials and community members who gathered Friday, about a week before the district's 24th elementary school will officially welcome students. The school will host about 250 students in the booming northwest edge of the city this year.
