A state lawmaker and an official representing a company planning a pipeline through South Dakota faced off in the first-ever eminent domain and property rights debate.
Navigator CO2 vice president of government and public affairs Elizabeth Burns-Thompson and Dell Rapids lawmaker Jon Hansen shared the stage Tuesday evening in Brookings during the “Property Rights & CO2 Pipeline” debate, hosted by The Dakota Scout, the South Dakota Federation of Republican Woman and the Sioux River Republican Women.
