Pro/Am Racquetball Tournament
Thursday, Jan. 30 - Sunday, Feb. 2
YMCA, Sioux Falls
Join us for the 45th Annual Lewis Drug Pro/Am Racquetball Tournament featuring professional singles and doubles divisions, as well as a variety of amateur divisions catering to all skill levels. Competitors from the United States, Mexico, and Canada will participate, making this one of the most diverse and competitive tournaments of the year. Professional matches will begin Thursday, while amateur matches will start on Friday, at 9:00 a.m. All amateur divisions, except for Open, will follow a round robin format, ensuring players multiple opportunities to compete. Junior divisions will take place on Saturday, starting with a free clinic led by racquetball legend Ruben Gonzalez. The event will conclude with a Saturday night banquet, offering a great selection of food and beverages for all attendees.
Winter Concert Series

Geoff Gunderson will perform as part of the Old Courthouse Museum Winter Concert Series in the historic courtroom. Four-Act Show

Four Chaplains Service

American Legion Post 15, Sioux Falls
On Four Chaplains Day, we remember the heroic actions of four Army chaplains who, while on their way to new assignments, risked their lives to save others when their ship sank. Reverend George Fox, Rabbi Alexander Goode, Reverend Clark Poling, and Father John Washington gave up their life jackets and helped as many men as they could into lifeboats before linking arms and praying as the ship went down. American Legion posts across the country hold memorial services to honor the courage of these chaplains and the brave young men who lost their lives that night. Sioux Falls area families are invited to attend this educational ceremony and join the Legionnaires for refreshments afterward.
