Ribs, Rods & Rock ‘n’ Roll returns to historic downtown Vermillion for music, fun, and tons of BBQ. This year's event marks the 20th anniversary, and in addition to the vendors, activities, car show, pony rides, cornhole tournament, 5k run, and live music, there will be a bunch of new offerings.

South Dakota State University Extension and McCrory Gardens will host the seventh annual Insect Festival for insect enthusiasts. There will be garden tours, interactive insect education, an insect costume parade, local vendors, crafts, and edible insects. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own insect costumes for the parade. All ages are welcome, especially youth who enjoy hands-on learning experiences.

The Chancellor Community Fire Department will be hosting their Annual Pork Feed. This two-day event is first come, first served, and you must choose from a flash sheet (no alterations). Each tattoo costs $100 + tax, with 50% of each tattoo donated to the Cattitude Cafe.
