2025 St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Saturday, March 15 • 9 a.m.
Downtown, Sioux Falls
The 45th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 15, in downtown Sioux Falls. Known as "The People’s Parade," it is free and open to the public, with anyone able to enter a float or walk in the parade if registered and wearing an official parade button. Parade buttons cost $3 and are available at local businesses or on the day of the event. This year’s Grand Marshal is Shawn Cleary, nominated by former Grand Marshals for his community contributions. Cleary, originally from Dixon, Illinois, has been deeply involved in Sioux Falls through his career and service on various boards, including the Sioux Falls Irish Club. The parade will feature around 100 entries and raise funds for St. Francis House, a nonprofit that serves the homeless. Additional events include the painting of the shamrock, the "Paint Sioux Falls Green!" initiative, and the Lucky 7’s Run Series, along with a flyby by the "Vanguard Squadron" stunt plane team.
