Elaine Wanstrath, 76, of Brandon, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Palisade Healthcare in Garretson. Visitation with the family present will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., with a wake and rosary service beginning at 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at George Boom Funeral Home-Brandon Valley Chapel in Brandon. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at Risen Savior Catholic Church in Brandon. Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Sioux Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alpha Center in Sioux Falls or Risen Savior Catholic Church in Brandon in Elaine’s name.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Dennis Wanstrath of California; son, Dave (Therese-Anne) Wanstrath and their children, Emma and Daniel, of Brandon; sisters, Barbara (Gary) Rigsby and Mary (Gary) Mihalik of California; and brothers, Robert (Debbie) Glutz Jr. of Ohio and Gerald Glutz of California.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Audrey (Berte) Glutz, and brothers, Kenny and Bill Glutz.
