South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson was among nearly four dozen members of Congress whose private communications with the first Trump White House ended up in the possession of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation.

Republicans have accused Smith of impropriety and lying to Congress. Smith was appointed during the Biden administration to investigate the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot and the Mar-a-Lago documents investigation in which Trump was accused of taking classified documents.

Law enforcement sweep results in 35 arrests of fugitives, absconders and others in Sioux Falls area

A joint law enforcement sweep last week netted the arrests of 35 people in the Sioux Falls area who were wanted or associated with people wanted by authorities, U.S. Attorney Ron Parsons announced Thursday.
