Dusty Johnson gets nod for helping South Dakotans cut through bureaucratic red tape
Congressional Management Foundation awards congressman for helping constituents work with feds
“Write your Congressman.”
That’s a common suggestion made to people who hit roadblocks when dealing with federal bureaucracy.
And for South Dakotans, it actually works. At least that’s what the Congressional Management Foundation’s (CMF) latest round of awards indicate.
CMF Thursday announced U.S. Rep. Dusty Johnson is this year’s recipient of its Democracy Award for outstanding Constituent Service. The honor recognizes Johnson for his effectiveness as an ombudsman to the federal government for South Dakotans and for his and his office’s responsiveness to constituent outreach.
