Gov. Kristi Noem is bringing in out-of-state help in hopes of convincing legislators to give her the ability to say no to private land deals involving foreign governments.
Steve Yates, an America First Policy Institute fellow and former national security advisor in the White House, will provide a briefing on “threats China poses to states like South Dakota, particularly as they try to buy up more of our agricultural land” to state legislators Monday afternoon at the state Capitol, according to the governor’s office.
