Design, price tag of new Lincoln County justice center becoming clearer
Commission expected to approve guaranteed maximum price in December
CANTON – The design and construction team for Lincoln County’s new justice center is zeroing in on what is expected to be the final price.
That team is scheduled to bring a guaranteed maximum price to the County Commission for approval in mid-December. Dave Derry, the chairman of Henry Carlson Construction, told commissioners Tuesday that the price is on target for $54.8 million – within the $55 million amount that the commission authorized last year in bonding authority for the project.
“We’re just going to continue to make the sausage, put this building together and make sure everything is aligned,” Derry said.
