Department of Education names Regional Teachers of the Year
Five teachers from across South Dakota will compete for Teacher of the Year recognition
The South Dakota Department of Education has announced the five regional finalists for South Dakota’s 2027 Teacher of the Year award.
One teacher from each region of the state was selected as a finalist for the statewide honor.
“Each year, the department receives applications from exceptional educators across South Dakota,” said Allison Englund, a teacher quality specialist with the Department of Education. “Celebrating Teacher of the Year is one way we can continue to uplift our educators and reassure them on the impact they are making every day.”
