Democrat Julian Beaudion pulls out of South Dakota Senate race
Democratic candidate cites pressure campaign against his family as reason to end candidacy
Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Julian Beaudion withdrew from the race Tuesday, just minutes before the deadline to have his name removed from the general election ballot.
Reached shortly after the deadline, Beaudion said he was saddened to leave the race, but he said it was best for his family.
