The Sioux Falls City Council debates a rezoning for a potential data center on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026.
A small group of Sioux Falls city councilors will propose a timeline next week for the potential regulation of large-scale data centers in the city.
The four-member Regulatory Oversight Committee plans to gather input about the controversial data centers both online and through public meetings over the next three months, according to council leadership.
Three councilors have scheduled a media briefing on Tuesday to detail the proposals ahead of a previously planned joint public hearing with the Lincoln County Commission at 7 p.m., Oct. 27 at Carnegie Town Hall.
