Daktronics buffeted by supply chain shortages, China's zero-COVID-19 strategy

CEO: Plant closure in China exacerbated labor shortages

The head of Brookings-based Daktronics told investors Monday that the digital scoreboard company is working through “unprecedented times” as it attempts to navigate a series of challenges.

Those challenges forced the company to notify shareholders last week that there is a “going concern” over the company’s viability.

“We are taking the going concern situation very seriously,” said Reece Kurtenbach, the company’s chairman, president and CEO. “We are working hard to remove that qualifying language as soon as is possible.”
