Don’t start building a fence around the homeless shelter near downtown Sioux Falls just yet.

The Sioux Falls City Council wants more time to consider a proposal from the mayor’s office that would see the construction of a $70,000 fence at a parking lot on the corner of Eighth Street and Indiana Avenue.
