The family of a second person killed in a workplace accident near Volga has filed suit against the company that hired them, alleging wrongful death.

Jan Vendekieft filed suit against Heartland Tank of Crooks on behalf of the estate of Randi Kay Vandekieft, her daughter. The suit was filed in Federal District Court for the District of South Dakota.

Vandekieft, of Warner Robbins, Georgia, was hired by Heartland Tank to perform roof repair work on a silage silo. She was joined on the job by Larry Joe Dalzell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
