A Watertown city councilor and the public face of a potential data center project in Sioux Falls is being sued by his former employer.
A1 Development is accusing Kyle Peters and his business partner of pilfering clients while Peters worked for A1. Peters has represented Gemini Family Office in Sioux Falls and the Legislature during the ongoing session. Gemini is seeking to prepare a site in northeastern Sioux Falls for a large-scale data center.
Peters joined A1 in May of 2021. Prior to that, he had served in the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development under Gov. Kristi Noem, who is his mother-in-law.
Steve Landon, a lawyer for Peters, disputed the accusations in the lawsuit.
