Ground owned by the Harrisburg School District in southern Sioux Falls remains the most viable location for a public pool in that part of the city.

That’s according to the Southern Sioux Falls Aquatics Committee, which will recommend to the Sioux Falls City Council that it stick with the Parks and Recreation Department’s original vision of building a pool at 90th Street and Tomar Avenue, next to the Harrisburg Freshman Academy.

“I always want to get two uses out of every investment, so I love that, and I also think … it has the potential to easily connect to biking and walking trails,” said Councilor David Barranco during the task force's meeting at City Center in downtown Sioux Falls on Monday afternoon.
