A nearly-completed mansion tucked in the upscale Prairie Hills neighborhood in southern Sioux Falls will be gone by month’s end.

The city of Sioux Falls has informed the owner of the 8,000-square-foot, multi-million dollar house at 6800 S. Westfield Trail that it’s scheduled to be razed on Feb. 27. The home has been under construction for nearly a decade.

“After being forced into years of taxpayer-funded litigation, the city intends to enforce the city’s code enforcement ordinances consistent with the Supreme Court’s ruling,” Sioux Falls City Attorney Stacy Kooistra said Friday in a statement provided to The Dakota Scout.
