Christine Erickson names Sioux Falls mayoral transition team

Mayor-elect says team will advise her during opening months of administration following narrow election victory

Mayor-elect Christine Erickson on Monday announced the members of her transition team, a group of community leaders who will advise her during the early months of her administration.

Erickson, who will be sworn in July 17 as the city’s fifth mayor since Sioux Falls switched to a strong-mayor form of government, said the team will help bring together a variety of perspectives as she prepares to lead the city over the next four years.

Erickson made history by becoming the city’s first female chief executive as well as the first former City Council member to win the seat.
