Political divisions that have erupted online following the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk are now spilling into real life in South Dakota, with police reporting multiple confrontations tied to the fallout.

A woman faces two misdemeanor counts after an alleged confrontation with Republican gubernatorial candidate Toby Doeden during the Northern State University football game Saturday, Sept. 13, in Aberdeen. Doeden, an Aberdeen businessman, is seeking next year’s GOP nomination for governor.
