CEO: Malfunction likely cause of ethanol plant explosion
The Ringneck Energy Ethanol Plant suffered a major explosion Sunday afternoon.
ONIDA – The cause of an ethanol plant explosion in Onida has not yet been determined.
But according to Ringneck Energy President and CEO Walter Wendland, it’s likely that a malfunction led to highly flammable ethanol vapors getting into the building.
