The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) is providing $2.5 million in low-interest loans to attract a Canadian pet food manufacturer to Brown County.

Smack Pet Food will move into the recently closed Banner Engineering building on Corporation Street in Aberdeen.

GOED’s Board of Economic Development approved two loans for Smack Holdings USA, according to a news release. Smack Pet Food is a manufacturer of premium raw dehydrated pet food with headquarters in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
