Another section of the largest road-building effort in modern Sioux Falls history has opened to traffic.

The decadeslong Veterans Parkway buildout — the city’s first major beltway addition in more than a half-century — marked another milestone this month as drivers began using a newly completed stretch of Sycamore Avenue between 69th and 85th streets ahead of the Independence Day holiday weekend.
