Attorney General Jackley joins 'Robocall Roundup' crackdown on illegal robocalls
37 companies issued warning letters as bad actors
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced Wednesday that the state has joined a national initiative targeting telecom providers that enable illegal robocalls.
As part of the National Operation Robocall Roundup, officials have issued warning letters to 37 telecom companies, demanding they stop routing unlawful robocalls through their networks. South Dakota’s participation comes through its membership in the multi-state Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force, launched in 2022 to combat the growing nuisance of robocalls nationwide.
“Robocalls are a daily nuisance for consumers,” Jackley said. “Attorneys general nationwide will keep telecom companies accountable who allow illegal robocalls on their networks.”
