A new law allowing South Dakota voters to pull their name from initiated measure petitions is already being put to use.

A campaign committee formed to stop a constitutional amendment loosening South Dakota’s abortion laws from making the ballot has launched a signature withdrawal campaign in hopes of nullifying some support the proposal has received.
