The Sioux Falls School District kicked off a budget process Monday that will force programs to justify their existence at reduced funding levels — even as administrators touted rising graduation rates that outpace the state.
The Board approved a fiscal year 2027 budget timeline requiring most programs to prepare scenarios at 98 percent, 99 percent, and 100 percent of current funding. Nold said in June that the district faces $1.5 million in cuts for the fiscal year after next.
