Aberdeen City Council approves purchase of former Presentation College property
Athletic fields, dome to belong to city
A $1.75 million purchase agreement for a portion of the former Presentation College campus has been approved by the Aberdeen City Council.
That action came at the council's regular meeting on Monday, Feb. 5 at the Municipal Building.

With the contract finalized, the city moves a step closer to owning the dome, Strode Center, athletic fields and some adjoining undeveloped property, all of which were sold by the Presentation Sisters.
The cost of setting up the Aberdeen Dome, estimated at $30,000, was covered by the city and not included in the purchase price.
