As the population and housing in Sioux Falls and surrounding cities continue to boom, so is construction work on interstates in the metropolitan area to keep up.

This summer, about $200 million is being spent on bridge repairs on Interstates 90 and 29 as well as new interchanges at Cliff Avenue and Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls and on I-90 in Brandon and Hartford.

The bridge repairs on the interstates are probably the most noticeable to drivers now in the city and causing traffic slowdowns and lane and ramp closures.
