There never would have been a need for a labor movement or unionization if workers had been treated with dignity, respect, fairness, and empathy by those whose wealth depended on the workers' labor...

The workers would not have jobs if those evil business owners had not invested in that company. Workers often forget bottom line needs for the company to survive. Case in point: Auto workers demanding a 46% increase over four years and 40 hours of pay for 32 hours worked.

GM’s full-year 2022 revenue came in at $156.7 billion, with net income attributable to stockholders of $9.9 billion and adjusted earnings before interest and tax at a record $14.5 billion. Those results marked the high-end of the company’s previously revised guidance. Net income $9.9 billion. That ain't all getting invested back into GM.

CEO Mary Barra's total compensation in nine years as CEO of General Motors has surpassed $200 million. Barra received a pay package worth just less than $29 million in 2022, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

It's just a thought.

Yes we are average Americans but we have an understanding of what is required to operate a business. If you don’t like where you are in the grand scheme of life do something to improve yourself. Bitching about the success of others will never elevate you. Put some skin down in the game.

I’m positive if I were an investor I would want dividends paid to me. The CEOs pay is defined partially by the success of the company. $22,000,000 average over the nine year period. What did LeBron James or Aaron Rodgers or Aaron Judge invest to justify their obscene contracts? Some people reach for the top and some settle in where it’s comfortable. Choices have consequences. I know some successful entrepreneurs and they are usually first in/last out of the office, not like the clock watchers.
