She's exactly what "The Donald" likes; a tootsie who inflates his tender ego, spews MAGA lies, blames immigration for all of America's problems, hates POC, embraces religiosity but lives a less than moral life. Right up defendant Trump's Dumpster alley!

First, Tony, not all history makes for good history. Second, I think constantly beating her own drum, as Noem has done, doesn't qualify as "deft handling" of anything but her now massive ego. What is so amusing about all of this is the same Kristi Noem expressly rejected Trump as the party's best choice in the early going. But I guess politicians have conveniently short memories, which, itself, is shameful.

Do you really believe Kristi Noem is qualified to be a leader of our great country?

Very Sad to miss the most important part of Noem Chasing Trump. He is the Worst President in the History of the USA and Noem is the Worst Governor in the History of SD. Both Corrupt. Trump has 91 Indictments. He is Running to Escape a Prison Sentence. He is an Insurrectionist. He is probably a Traitor. Who in their Right Mind would want Anything to do with him, let alone be his VP. He threatened to have his previous VP Executed. Shame the author.

This seems like much ado about nothing. And, why should anyone care if someone is the first woman to do this or that? Such statements seem to encourage sexist decisions. The best person should be chosen, period.

Admittedly, it's a small, early sample, but this "viewpoint" has elicited only one "like" thus far. Maybe readers aren't so convinced that Noem's jumping into a political bed with such a despicable, deplorable narcissist is cause for a state celebration——fireworks or no fireworks.

I can’t wait to see her and her lies get more national attention. VP Harris will mop the floor with her in any debate.

If Noem's becoming a VP candidate forced her into genuine debates, press conferences and/or interviews, in which she can't get away with regurgitating scripted 'blah, blah, blah' for an answer, it might be worth it for the sheer cringe-worthy entertainment value.

It would mean this country would be in trouble.

Guest columnist Tony Van Nepotism, huh? Great choice for a safe, tepid story, barely adhering to any semblance of truth but instead, conjured up with GOP talking points that no one dares counter. If you want blatant in-your-face-truth about the liar we have as a governor, give me a few notes to sing about the Governor who shut down SD during Covid and then lied abut it. Don't check out her Executive Order, 2020-12, paragraph 11 and the end where she ruined us by picking essential and non essential worker per CISA. Don't look at the April 1, 2020 Board of Pharmacy minutes where she cause the death of Covid victims by telling drs they cannot use life-saving HCQ for their illness... Don't look at how she put in contact tracing and quarantined people with CARE 19...a program we shared with North Dakota to create a brownshirt type of tattling on people who did not adhere to the stupid 6 feet away order. Just go in believing, promoting, and filling the history books with lies...because you journalists can. After all you can choose who you like to write guest columns...no matter if its true or not. I know you have kids to feed and mortgages to pay... but God help you in the afterlife because you are not investing in any property there.
