The use of artificial intelligence in the health care industry has the promise of being “transformative” if it’s used in the right ways, a leading technology executive told health care providers this week.

Seema Verma, an executive vice president and general manager for Oracle Health and Life Sciences, said AI has the potential to drive change where other technological advancements had not.

“I think this time around with AI, we can’t just drop the technology off at the door,” she said.
