Children’s Business Fair

The third annual Acton Academy Sioux Falls Children's Business Fair is an opportunity to observe the opportunity for children to launch their very own startup business. Kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace.
An awards ceremony will follow.
The fair will run alongside the Lake Lorraine Farmer's Market.
The Children's Business Fair is open to any child between the ages of 6-17.
This event is sponsored by Acton Academy, the Acton School of Business, Lake Lorraine. The event is free for shoppers.

Sioux Falls Independence Day events

Independence Day Celebration fun run/walk will begin near the Overlook Cafe in Falls Park and follow the path along the Big Sioux River. Registered participants can check in starting at 7:30 a.m.
And beginning at 10 a.m., the parade will step off going north along Phillips Avenue to 6th Street.
The Picnic and entertainment will be at 11 a.m. at 6th and Phillips and conclude after Six String Soldiers takes the stage at 7:45 p.m. at the Levitt Shell.
Blood Run 5K

The Friends of Blood Run will be hosting its third annual Blood Run 5K Trail Run-Walk west of Granite in Lyon County, Iowa, on Saturday, July 15. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. at the Granite Mercantile building — 1114 125th Street, Larchwood, IA 51241 — in Granite and then we will travel to the Blood Run National Historic Landmark for the 5K run/walk event at 8 a.m.
Along with 2023 Blood Run T-shirts, this year the event has added medals for first and second place male and female in age categories 18 and under, 19 to 49 and 50+. T-shirts are guaranteed for registration by June 30. Online registration for the event is at Friends of Blood Run under the Trail Run 2023 Registration dropdown.
