Sioux Falls City Council OKs first hike of special downtown tax in three decades

Raven Industries is no longer protesting a pending increase to a special tax assessment placed on property in downtown Sioux Falls.

Two weeks after an attorney representing the company voiced concerns over Downtown Sioux Falls Inc.’s desire to remove a 30-year-old cap on the amount a downtown property could pay into what’s known as the Main Street Business Improvement District, both the company and DTSF say a resolution has been reached.
