Roger Alan Arpan, age 67, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at his home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota due to natural causes related to his health. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Calvary Episcopal Cathedral (500 S Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD). Open visitation will begin at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Calvary Episcopal Cathedral with a wake beginning at 6:00 pm.
Roger was born on November 16, 1957 to Robert A. Arpan Sr. and Genevieve Rouse in Wagner, South Dakota. He joined the Army when he was 18 years old. He served with bravery and honor. He was discharged from the Army in 1985. He moved to Sioux Falls with his wife and family, and they all enjoyed living there.
Robert was a very protective and humble man. He enjoyed cooking, playing basketball and playing pool. He loved his family and one of his favorite things was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Kiyanne Arpan; his grandchildren, Korbin Lee Huapapi, Aasonn Antón, Unique Alan Arpan, Nevin John Huapapi, Nolan Eric Huapapi, and Destiny Ann Huapapi; his great-grandaughters, Innocence Anais Rose, and Aceleigh Dorothy; his great-grandsons, Azias and Aysin Arpan Jr; his brothers, Perry Arpan, Robert (Jackie) Arpan, and Gary Arpan Laplante; and all the rest of his family may God bless and thank them all. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kendra Faye Arpan; and other siblings and extended family members.
