PIERRE — A growing number of South Dakota lawmakers think the Legislature should have had a say in the state signing a pair of 30-year office leases valued at more than $350 million.
Legislators serving on a state House panel on Monday advanced a measure requiring legislative approval for long-term state property leases, a move aimed at increasing government transparency and fiscal oversight.
