Potential TikTok buyer: South Dakota 'front runner' to land headquarters
Reid Rasner, who leads a group that bid $47.45 billion for company, tours sites at Dakota State University and Sioux Falls

MADISON — The self-described greatest bidder for TikTok says South Dakota is the front runner to land the company’s headquarters if his group’s offer is accepted.
Wyoming entrepreneur Reid Rasner, who has submitted a $47.45 billion bid along with his group of investors to purchase the popular social media application, toured MadLabs at Dakota State University on Friday and held a news conference with Gov. Larry Rhoden showcasing his interest in locating the company to South Dakota.
“(South Dakota is) certainly the front runner for our infrastructure right now – 100 percent,” Rasner said. “The reality is Gov. Rhoden – with his greater vision for South Dakota and (the state’s) advancements in technology – has truly thought ahead. He has partnered with us in a very strong and vocal way and we appreciate that.”
“We love South Dakota and we find this is going to be a very great home for TikTok in the future. We will have a very strong footprint here,” he added.
