Sioux Falls mayor: No plans to pursue public office after hitting term limit at City Hall
Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken announced Tuesday that he does not plan to run for public office when his time is through at City Hall.
The 47-year-old Republican, set to vacate the mayor’s office next year, took to social media Tuesday to address ongoing speculation and intrigue about his future plans when his second and final term at the city’s top executive ends next year.
“After prayerful thought and discussions with my family, I do not intend to run for another public office at this time and look forward to seeking opportunities in the private sector,” TenHaken wrote in a post published on Facebook and X.
