BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALTIC, MINNEHAHA COUNTY, STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS:
That Section §30.03 of the Municipal Ordinances of Baltic, SD, be amended to read as follows:
§ 30.03 REGULAR MEETINGS.
On the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. the City Council shall meet at the City Hall or other designated place, to consider, take under advisement, and act upon such business as may come before it. The Council may adjourn, postpone, or otherwise reschedule the regular meeting. Special meetings may be held at the call of the Mayor or by any two Council Members at any time, to consider such matters as may be specified in the call for the meeting.

The regular meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 p.m. on December 22, 2025. Council members answered roll call with Eric Comes, Edward Clark-Jessen, Brian McGreevy, Attorney Patrick Glover, Nikki Oien, & Steve Boeve. Also in attendance was Finance Officer Lauren Utecht and Public Works Supervisor, Dusty Lau. The meeting was called to order and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

You are hereby summoned to appear before the above-named Court in its courtroom at the Minnehaha County Courthouse, 425 North Dakota Avenue, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on January 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM to answer the Petition of CARRIE MEES, now on file with the Clerk of said Court, alleging the above named Children to be an abused/neglected Children and praying that said Children be taken from you and that a guardian be appointed with authority to consent to the adoption of said Children. You must appear at the time and place set forth above to show cause, if any you have, why said Children should not be found abused/neglected and the prayer of said Petition granted or said Children otherwise dealt with. Failure to appear is an admission to the allegation(s) contained in the Petition. You are further notified that the termination of parental rights is a possible remedy of these proceedings and that you and the above-named Children have the right to have an attorney present at all stages of the proceedings.
